First n Second day @ new work place...

Today is my second day of work. Nothing much to do yet, because nothing was actually ‘handovered’, neither was I given a full briefing of what is required of me. First day there, I’ve been given a short briefing from the admin side about management matters and company policy thingy, and also I’ve been given a tour of the office.  There are just so so many staff over there, probably in the ballpark figure of around 130 people. I was introduced to lots of people there till I lost count, and just got plain tiredddd of spelling out my name ‘K-E-N-N-E-S’ to almost everyone. They just couldn’t pronounce my name correctly. Oh well.. I know my name is kind of ‘unique’ hahhahahha or maybe weird, even sounding like a guy’s name. But I like it, been called this name since secondary school, hence I’ve no intention to change. I was smiling the entire time during the ‘introduction’ till my jaw was painful and I felt so sleepy too. I really can’t remember every one of them, I got confused and don’t know who is who. J Only remember not more than 10 people there I guess.

First and second day, just sitting at my place going through some files, and facing the pc… makes me so sleepy till my eyes barely can open. First day, lunch time, no one asked me out for lunch and the place, it’s not like I can walk to somewhere nearby and eat. If I wanted lunch, I’d have to drive. So I had to ‘puasa’ and I was so hungry..huh…

After lunch hour, some of them only ask me if I had I taken my lunch?? Well I guess no one is nice like me, because I’m very good when it comes to taking care of new colleagues, you all can ask Sally, if you don’t believe me J

Second day, I don’t want to sit there alone again come lunch hour, so I asked this guy (IT) as to where he usually goes for lunch, and so I joined them, because he helped me with my pc and system thingy so it was easy for me to ask him and he’s quite helpful. So today I went out with him and 2 other different department colleagues for lunch. I understand, wherever you start a new job. it is always like that, people just wait for you to go for them.  Still have to take some time to get myself adapted the environment.

Oh ya, I was so lucky to have her in TBR. She took very good care of me on my first day in TBR. Miss you here, gal. Anyway, I've inherited her kindness too, I'll bring my new colleague to lunch and help them to adapt to the new environment. Just like what kennes did to me. What goes around, comes around..

I hope so. Ppls there are always 'grouping' so they didnt even bother to ask u out, unless they want something fr u. SO u have to be thick skin if u dont want to be alone. I'm still looking for the someone who can 'click' with me, so i wont be so bored over there :(
